Science is best when it can be shared! We work hard to develop programs that bring NCAR science to the public through exhibits, tours and visitors programs, community-based science programs, and online outreach programs.
The UCAR Center for Science Education hosts NCAR Mesa Lab tours, school field trips, and exhibits. Explore weather, climate, art and other exhibits at the NCAR Mesa Laboratory and tour the facility.
UCAR Connect is a free and open collection of audience focused & topic driven digital resources accessible across all platforms & devices. It takes a novel playlist approach that is active, emergent, and responsive to the needs of UCAR’s varied audiences.
GLOBE involves students, teachers, scientists and community members in inquiry-based investigations of the environment and the Earth system. Internationally, GLOBE is implemented through bilateral agreements between the U.S. government and governments of partner nations. Since 1995, 113 countries have participated in The GLOBE Program.
The Climate Voices network brings non-partisan conversations about the research findings of the majority of climate scientists to citizens across the United States and Puerto Rico. Scientists and other experts meet with neighbors and community organizations to initiate discussions about the local effects of a changing climate and possible ways to address impacts. Use the map to find a speaker near you and invite them to local meetings.
The UCAR Community Programs provide innovative resources, tools, and services in support of the research and education goals of the atmospheric and Earth system sciences community.
A major focus for UCP is making sure the science from NCAR and UCAR institutions is translated in novel ways to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
